The Heart of our Worship Teams
“Oh come, let us sing to the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise! For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.”
We believe that worship is an important part of our lives and of this Bible study because it brings us into a place where we can focus on the Lord and give thanks for who He is and what He’s done. Worship is such a special time during our Sunday Nights Bible study. Through worship, we’ve seen God be greatly magnified and His people be incredibly blessed in the process. We are so thankful for our worship teams and the work and sacrifices they make in order to faithfully bring us into the presence of the Lord week in and week out. Not only does the team work practically, but they also pour into each worship session spiritually. We asked some of our worship team members what they enjoy about leading worship, and we’ve included it in this blog so that you can read about their hearts and motives as they lead us into God’s presence.
“What I love about doing worship on Sunday nights is just being able to be a piece of what God is doing during these nights. I love being in the special atmosphere that Sunday nights have, and I thoroughly enjoy being able to lead worship with the people God has put on the team”
- Josh Teasley (Sunday nights bassist)
“I love Sunday Nights because of their simplicity and authenticity. Everyone who goes wants to be there and simply worship the Lord. Being a small, new group adds to the aspect of feeling like a family and encourages everyone to lift up their voices and sing. Every week is different, but the same, because it always revolves around lifting up God in a unique and different way.”
- Hunter Chambers (Sunday nights worship leader)
“Why do I serve? I serve because He first served us. I know I’m nowhere near close to giving back all that He has given to me, but I want to, and I will do, all that I can to serve Him and His people with everything within me. It’s crazy to be in the spot that I am; to be so privileged to do what I love, playing drums and using it to glorify God and His kingdom. I’m truly blessed beyond imagination. Being around people that love the Lord encourages me to be a better person in my faith. I’m excited to see what God has next for us as a church as we take further steps into His plan.”
- Truth Acuna (Sunday Nights drummer)
A huge thank you to our worship teams and everything they do for us! We love you guys, and we appreciate the intentionality in what you do and the hearts that you purpose do it with.
