Press On (Then God stepped in)

"So let us know, let us press on to know the LORD. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, Like the spring rain watering the earth." Hosea 6:3

The attacks started almost immediately. Within a few SUNDAY NIGHTS prayer meetings we were hit hard with life-shaking news. Deflated and depressed, we had a choice. Press on or give up.

Then God stepped in.

His gospel infused in real time, Jesus gave us grace to overcome the enemy's injury. We pressed on in faith, by faith in Him who makes all things new.

It wasn't long before the enemy hit us again. Another fiery dart right to the heart. This time his hostility toward our love and personal pursuit of Jesus nearly took us out. We felt crushed under the weight of lies and demonic oppression—oh they were convincing. Disillusioned and despairing, the enemy taunted our spiritual death. But still, we had a choice. Life or death.

Then God stepped in again.

His grace and truth overflowed from beloved friends God put in our life. Brothers and sisters armed with power from on high battled for our deliverance.

In one of my lowest lows, I poured out my heart—bloodied by accusations and condemnation—to my friend. It must’ve taken her all God filled her with that morning to scrape me off the floor as she attempted to breathe new life into me. I heard every word she spoke. My mind engaged with the truth of her strong encouragement to press on. I walked away with fresh insight though my heart still bruised and beaten to a pulp.

But then something happened.

God opened a door of supernatural boldness for me. Within an hour, I shared spiritual revival with an invitation to SUNDAY NIGHTS to three strangers. God reviving my own heart and soul flooded me like a tidal wave—when I pressed on. He came like a flood. When I pressed on.

An hour later He did it again.

He opened the door for me to share God's revival at Costco to two more strangers—employees. As we held hands and prayed in the middle of the vitamin aisle I was blown away by His love for me and for these two and the other three. Boy, the harvest is ripe out there!

Christians, we mustn't only press on for ourselves, but we must dive into the opportunities to revive other weary, thirsty souls. Don't believe the lie that you're too broken, too numb, too powerless to be used for God's Kingdom.

Let us stop gaging our value and usefulness to Christ based on how we are doing physically, emotionally, even spiritually.

Spiritual revival is coming to Orange County.

How do I know this? Because it's shaking me alive in ways I didn't even know were dead.

"At that time His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:26-29
